DARREN TINDALE grew up in a newspaper family. His father was a highly-respected photographer on The Sun and later Picture Editor.

Darren followed him on to The Sun in 1988 and photographed sport and news for The Herald and Weekly Times and News Limited for 24 years. 

During that time, he also served as Picture Editor at the Sunday Herald Sun for six years.
