MANY champion sports people gravitate to the media after their careers are over, most of them as broadcasters, columnists or social media know-alls. Not for the first time, Kathy Watt has dared to be different. Her forte is sports photography, and she is very good at it. Watt, of course, is best-known for her outstanding career as a professional cyclist, the highlight of which was winning the gold medal in the women’s road race at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, the first time that event had been conducted at the Games. Not content with that, she also won a silver medal in the individual pursuit on the track — with many other big wins to follow around the globe. Now she is at home with all sports, and has joined the Sportshounds team at the Boxing Day Test at the MCG. Here is a sample of her best work — RON REED
